Chess Club at AIAE

• An understanding of the mechanics of Chess
• The importance of forward planning
• The planning and execution of different strategies
• Logical and progressively in-depth thinking skills
• The value of peer learning and support
• An appreciation for teamwork and unity
• The acceptance of diversity among students
Chess Club Schedule
• Lunchtime Chess: Students can play in the library during lunch breaks.
• After-School Chess: Running in Term 2, every Monday in the library.
• Professional Chess Coaching: Set to begin in Term 2 (TBC).
AIAE competes in various chess tournaments throughout the year, particularly in the Darebin region. Trophies, medals, and certificates are awarded at these tournaments to recognise outstanding players.
